What We Do?
Project Background
Wawezeshe Waendelee is a four-year initiative (2022-2025) by Kijana Mtaani Legacy, aimed at empowering uneducated youth in four villages within Musoma District, Mara Region: Nyakato, Kwangwa, Kigera, and Lwamrimi. This project focuses on equipping the youth with business literacy and soft skills to foster sustainable microeconomic engagement. The project was designed using a participatory approach with input from community members, youth, local leaders, and district officials.
Project Objectives
- Youth Microeconomy Competence: Empower youth to identify market demands and leverage enabling information from key stakeholders to utilize available resources collaboratively.
- Youth Financial Freedom: Enhance financial literacy among youth to achieve financial independence in their business activities.
Project Activities
- Entrepreneurship Training: Educate uneducated youth on taking calculated risks and creating entrepreneurial opportunities for sustainable development.
- Youth Credit Services Link: Connect youth with credit facilities to improve credit literacy and access to financial services.
- Youth Business Dialogue: Facilitate interactions between youth and successful entrepreneurs through meetings and group discussions to improve business management, attract customers, tackle business challenges, and identify new opportunities.
